First Impression
When we first opened up the Chat Hour website for this dating review, it felt like a flashback to the ‘90s. You can tell the site’s layout hasn’t been updated for a while, but overall, the site seemed very straightforward and easy to use. Since the service is entirely free, we did see a few ads, but they weren’t overly intrusive.

Unlike the desktop, which is designed primarily for use in multi-user chat rooms, the mobile version is optimized for one-on-one direct messages. The mobile version is just as easy (if not easier) to use as the desktop version.

Though usually underutilized, this website actually provides a lot of helpful profile information fields you can fill out. These can be especially helpful if you’re trying to find the perfect match in online dating! This site also lets you create your own chat rooms, which could spark some interesting conversations if enough people joined.
Conclusion
At first glance, Chat Hour seems like a site that’s lived past its prime. However, if you’re willing to invest a bit of time in the service, this site does have a lot of dating potential. Unfortunately, most users don’t bother to provide a lot of information on their profiles, so you will have to spend quite a bit of time chatting with someone to get to know them. On the plus side, this site doesn’t discourage users from sharing their Skype (or other video chat service) information, so you can definitely take it to the next level when you two are ready!
